Elias aka Elijah not signed by AEW/ROH

It was recently reported elsewhere that the former Elias, now known as Elijah, was signed by AEW/ROH. The rumors stemmed from him appearing in a video with ROH team The Righteous. However, we're told that Elijah is actually not signed by the company.
Elijah appeared on the Jericho Cruise, taking on AEW talent Tommy Billington, but isn't under contract to AEW or ROH. During his two years away from WWE, he's wrestled in Australia, the UK, and the indie scene. However, of late, we've actually heard that TNA has expressed interest in using him.

2025-02-12 00:17:41 +0000 UTCHope he lands on his feet and nothing against him personally but as an AEW/ROH fan who has been down on the product recently until this past month Elias/Elijah is the exact type of signing I would prefer Tony Khan doesn't make. I really really really hope they don't sign Baron Corbin as well, dude was live tweeting Bucks/Lucha Bros matches in early AEW sounding like a generic tribal internet troll. And those are matches even people who hate the Bucks and/or AEW say were really good. AEW isn't going to find it's identity again by collecting mid-carders from the era of WWE that, whether or not the talent deserves blame, was so bad it created space for AEW to exist and grow so fast in the first place.
