Owens saw his WWE deal set to expire at the end of 2024 or start of 2025, with many question marks whether his new deal had officially been nailed down. Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed he did.
Owens posted on X today "If you guys help support my daughter’s Girl Scout troop by buying some cookies, I promise to keep wrestling for at least 4 years, 11 months and 22 days more," which heavily implied that he'd signed a new contract. In speaking with those close to the situation it was confirmed that Owens did re-sign, and the new deal actually kicked off the day of the Royal Rumble. He's signed a five-year contract.
AEW has long maintained interest in Owens, who figures to be an integral part of WWE for years to come.

Back when his last contract with WWE was expiring WWE was cold under Vince leadership & AEW was at there hottest he stayed in WWE. It paid of he got to main event WrestleMania with the biggest draw in pro wrestling history SCSA you then had the chance in regime when Triple H took over that summer WWE got red hot & AEW went cold. You then had the Bloodline Sami Zayn & KO storyline which saw him compete in his second WrestleMania main event winning the tag titles with his best friend to now this great heel run he’s on. Realistically & I’m not trying to be tribal what could AEW offer KO to make him want to jump. The guy is likely going to finish his career in WWE if he is signing a 5 year deal

Back in 2021 him jumping would of made sense but in 2025 & the position he is in now going to AEW would of been a step down
