Trey Miguel talks Rascalz reunion, more

Fightful Overbooked’s Joel Pearl caught up with former IMPACT/TNA Tag Team Champion Trey Miguel of the Rascalz.

Joel mentioned that people have been clamoring for a Rascalz reunion since the WWE/TNA working relationship began. Miguel mentioned receiving a text message from Zachary Wentz about how the working relationship began. 

Then Trey talks about Joe Henry showing up. Trey says he and Zachary don't want to take away from anyone's moment. Trey told Joel that Zach, Wes Lee, and himself never stopped having conversations about it possibly happening.

Trey said they had no idea how they would end up in the same ring together; then, one day, he went into the office and was told, "I’m going to go to NXT and reunite The Rascalz."

Trey said on August 1st, he would be starting his 15th year in the wrestling business. Trey mentioned that he has been a fan of the WWE since the age of four. Trey mentioned that WWE is what made him want to be a wrestler.

Joel asked how The Rascalz came up with the idea of using Buzz Lightyear-themed gear for their match at TNA Slammiversary. Trey said, “Zach's favorite thing in the world to be entertained by is Disney, outside of wrestling.” Trey mentioned they were sharing ideas and that Zach had the idea for Buzz gear. 

Trey said he drew it up and sent it to Landon of Pro Wrestling Wear, who perfected it. He said they had to order a third because they learned they would get Wes Lee back. Trey also mentioned that their gear was still being sewn 20 minutes before they went out for their match.

In closing, Trey discussed his time working with Steve Maclin. He mentioned that there was a plan for the Maclin Tree House vignette. He added that Maclin is always full of ideas and loves working with him.
