A "shift" to "NSFW"

I don't know if Patreon sent out a warning to my patrons, but they flagged a couple pieces of mine as NSFW. I don't think any work is really that level, currently, but I have tagged it myself just to try and be respectful. So they might have seen that and decided, "Hey, you just need to make your account a NSFW one!"

So, to make things easier, I think I'll just leave the account marked as nsfw and now worry about tagging things.

Absolute Flash #1 Inks (Pages 4-6)

I've got an Absolute Flash crunch week ahead of me, so I thought I'd share a few more pages of inks from issue #1!

I've gotten into the habit of using some pops of color to help my colorist see my vision, but the graffiti was just nonsensical fun that I left in there for him to alter if he wanted to change it up.

That last panel with the reflection in the puddle has to be a favorite shot from this first issue. It turned out so good!

Rendered in a  style I tend to play with when I need to get away from lines and precision. I love how it's more shape and texture focused, almost having that watercolor effect where you have to let it have some say in the process...but also it's digital, so not quite? Hah!

So my group recently wrapped up a campaign chapter and I wanted to finish up a sketch of my character (left) and his fella of interest.

Are they doing this well right now? NO!

Did my character get shot and have to leave town without saying goodbye? YES!

Will they see each other again? I DON'T KNOW!

Is my DM playing into my love of bittersweet plotlines? POSSI...

I'm going to try and start making time to sketch and doodle for myself again. I feel like I've let that part of my brain dry up with this new influx of work that's got me super busy. I'll be starting on my next new BIG thing next month and I definitely want to keep nurturing this part of my artistic soul as well. It's all about balance in 2024.
