Gunther close to new WWE deal

WWE sources claimed to Fightful on December 2 that World Heavyweight Gunther was closing in on a new contract. Sources in the company expect it to be done this year, barring any unforseen circumstances.
Those we spoke to claimed the deal was a long-term, multi year deal and that the company has been thrilled with Gunther's performance in the ring and at media obligations. One WWE higher up referred to Gunther as among the most professional talents they had ever worked with.
