WWE On Netflix news
Added 2024-11-03 19:00:06 +0000 UTCWWE is starting a new era on Netflix, and the streamer has made some desires clear.
While not very surprising, we're told that Netflix had mentioned CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes as names on the men's side they're hoping featured on the show. When we reached out to WWE about us hearing such, they noted that the rosters aren't decided as of yet. One higher up joked "Saudi wanted Yokozuna, we want Yokozuna back too, and I'm sure Netflix does, too" without giving much detail into what we actually asked about.
Talent Fightful Select has spoken to haven't been told what brand they'll be on as of yet or if there will be a determining factor in such.
An interesting note, a number of talent both from Smackdown and Raw were at a Netflix commercial and video shoot on October 27, including the eventually released Baron Corbin. We've learned that IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, Motor City Machine Guns, Elektra Lopez, and numerous members of the LWO among others filmed there.
We're told that Cody Rhodes and Netflix had also discussed a potential movie role that didn't end up coming to fruition.
As Fightful reported, Intuit Dome in LA is expected to be the location of the first Raw on Netflix. Those that work for the venue had the event hyped up to them as a major one, though the company hasn't given us any particulars.
