Select Answers: Ryback, WWE Studios, Crazzy Steve
Added 2024-10-06 17:00:07 +0000 UTCWelcome to Select Answers, a short feature that provides some of the answers to questions that were posed to Sean Ross Sapp in the most recent Fightful Weekly Q&A Podcast. The show drops every week on Fightful Select for subscribers.
Has WWE quietly shutdown its film division or is it that documentaries are the main focus now?
Yes, they have. They haven't produced much of anything for years on the film side. They had credits on Rumble, and there were a couple of Netflix specials, but largely the studio works on documentaries and reality programming. Even much of the documentary work is done on the A&E side.
Has Ryback been blacklisted by wrestling promotions? He doesn’t seem to have any bookings.
I have very good relationships with dozens of indie bookers and I've never heard of them saying he's blacklisted. He worked around 50 matches in the two years after he left WWE, but hasn't wrestled in over six years. I'm sure if he wanted to wrestle, he'd get bookings and would probably do well at signings.
Any update on the whereabouts of Crazzy Steve from TNA?
He's actively working the indies. He hasn't had any matches that I can see for the last months or so, but in October he's booked for Neo Pro, Top Tier Wrestling, Type Pro, and AAA. He's still listed on the TNA roster page.

Hazem Abdo
2024-10-07 01:08:00 +0000 UTCI suspect that Ryback has found a way to earn enough money for his requirements without wrecking his body in the process.
