AJ Styles update

Styles has been off WWE television for a number of months, leading many to question where he’s been of late. When Fightful last asked we were told that he’s healthy, off television, and enjoying time with his family. He did work the Japan live event tour, working title matches with Cody Rhodes, but has largely been off WWE TV since Clash at the Castle.
Those within the industry that Fightful spoke with are of the belief that AJ Styles’ WWE contract is up either late this year or early next year. We’ve not heard if there have been efforts to re-sign him or if he has plans moving forward. We’re working to clarify the status of his contract, but numerous influential names within the industry and some who have worked with Styles believe it’s up this year.
Fightful has not gained confirmation from Styles, his reps or WWE on his status

2024-09-25 19:09:23 +0000 UTCI know he's just going to re-sign with WWE, but having him in AEW would be really cool! Even if it's just for a year or two. Have him do a Wrestle Kingdom, or Wrestle Dynasty. Even a part time schedule would be fine. Save him for ppvs, have him involved in stories, but not wrestling on weekly tv, or maybe a quick match here or there.

2024-09-25 17:31:13 +0000 UTCI’d love to see him get a brief AEW run to play off of some of his history and maybe squeeze in a few dream matches for fans before he hangs up his boots, but I’m also completely fine if he feels like he has accomplished everything he wanted to and just wants to call it a career while his body is still relatively healthy. Honestly, he’s proven that he’s among the best to ever do it, so he’s earned the right to do whatever he wants at this point.

If I where a betting man I think he either signs a part time deal with WWE or makes the transition into a coach at the PC
