So I took most of today off. Spent like five hours playing Magic with friends, and the rest I spent actually watching an anime for once. I'm normally very bad about watching anime. 1) I don't understand most of the tropes, and I don't think I want to. 2) Each anime has too many rules to learn. The worst was Bleach. "I need use my shikai to summon my zanpakuto, Zangetsu, that way I can channel my shinigami powers into my sword to kill the hollow!" I can't understand any of it. The worst thing holding me back though is 3) the subtittles. If I'm reading subtittles, than I'm not drawing, and if I'm not drawing, I feel like I'm wasting time. I've stopped watching a lot of things because of subtitles.
Regardless, I started watching My Hero Academia, and I'm really enjoying it. I feels like Harry Potter, but I actually find the superheros cool, whereas the wizards were just nerds. I also like how weird all the powers are.
This sketch probably isn't going anywhere. It feels flat and boring. I may try it again later, but with much different poses and less negative space.
