I read somewhere that in hunter-gatherer societies, most tribes could actually get by with only about four to five hours of work a day. Casual work too. One good hunt could provide food for weeks or months. It almost makes me jealous. Of course, they didn't have the internet, and an injury like a broken bone would probably fatal. Also, one unseasonably cold night could wipe out entire populations. Moral: Let's be happy with live in the age we do.
