Mike Santana on rejoining TNA, leaving AEW, more
Added 2024-05-30 14:30:09 +0000 UTCSean Ross Sapp spoke to Mike Santana for a new interview ahead of his Immersive short documentary dropping on TNA's Youtube channel Monday at noon ET.
Santana said that he was excited when he learned he'd be working with Steve Maclin upon his return and understands there are many parallels there. Maclin also appears heavily in the documentary.
Mike confirmed to SRS that he'd planned his AEW exit well ahead of time, as far back as a year and a half. He'd been posting countdowns on Twitter and that was a hint to him riding out his contract and moving on to something else, because he wasn't enjoying his time there. His injury ended up pushing that back.
He'd always kept his eye on TNA and the possibility of going back was something that he'd long looked at. He said that he'd talked to some talent about the new regime, and they were the first ones to call him when he became available. So far everything has been smooth sailing for him there.
He's working a full indie schedule, including his own HOG Puerto Rican Weekend show June 8. He said that he feels blessed that there was that much interest and seeing the level of talent make shim step his shit up.
