Becky Lynch contract update
Added 2024-05-27 21:50:48 +0000 UTCBecky Lynch is set for a world title cage match on WWE Raw tonight, but by this weekend could be wrapped up in WWE.
Lynch is set for a world title rematch on tonight's WWE Raw in the main event against Liv Morgan. As of this morning, Becky Lynch and WWE had not reached terms on a new contract, though the two sides had been in contact. We have not learned if a deal is imminent, or agreed upon, outside of that there hasn't been a new deal reached. We have also not learned on if it has any bearing on tonight's match.
Lynch's current WWE contract is set to expire on June 1, at which time she'll become a free agent unless a deal is reached before then. Lynch is expected by many in the industry to get the biggest offer of any woman in pro wrestling history.

Especially at a time when the AEW women's division seems to finally be gaining some traction. I think she does re-sign, but not before sees what is out there.

I could see Becky Lynch doing what Johnny Gargano did back in 2021 when his deal was expiring choose not to sign a new deal to spend time with your kid & then return to company later in the year

They have lots of money, don't run house shows, and she'd only need to work a day a week, not necessarily every week. I'd only see it happen if WWE aren't willing to give her the terms she wants and AEW does.
