Update on Progress Super Strong Style 16 Withdrawal
Added 2024-05-26 23:15:00 +0000 UTCOn day one of the 2024 Super Strong Style 16 tournament, there was some bad news for fans as one participant who was set to be involved was Simon Miller, who was originally scheduled for an opening round match with Ricky Knight Jr.
Unfortunately for Miller, he would announce that he would not be able to compete in the tournament and would be replaced by Jack Bandicoot. Bandicoot, a Progress fan favorite, was brought in on short notice due to his connection with the fans.
Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has learned that Progress found out on Saturday evening about Miller’s injury, and Simon is expected to be on the shelf for at least six weeks with a shoulder injury, with Miller said to be “devastated” by the timing of the injury.
Bandicoot would come up short, losing to Ricky Knight Jr in the opening round of the tournament.
