A bit of obsure lore here. I'm glad the patron knew about it, because I had only heard about Alessia, and other than the fact that she was the first holder of the Amulet of Kings, I knew nothing about her. Alessia is a somewhat mythical figure from The Elder Scrolls. She was a slave of the Ayleids (Heartland Elves) but rebelled and founded the Cyrodilic Empire. Morihaus is a bit more obscure. He was a demiprince (think demigod), son of Kyne/Kynareth, and was said to have the appearance of a winged minotaur, despite the fact that the statue of him in Oblivion is of a human being. These two had a son and grandson who were also minotaurs, one of which become emperor for a little while.
The lore in The Elder Scolls is a little convoluted though. Bethesda has admitted that they don't keep the best tract of it, and lots of details just get forgotten about between games. I'd be surprised if anyone at Bethesda has ever really spared much thought about this little bit of lore, and if they ever visit it in a game, I'm sure they'd change everything.
