I'm dead!! (ALIVE)
Added 2016-11-07 08:22:20 +0000 UTCshit!fuck! Typing this on phone because computer won't start. I opened it up to see what king of RAM and shit I had, but now it won't fully start up. The light blinks and it sounds good for a second, but then it stops and shuts down! Fuck! I don't know what to do. I'm taking it on tomorrow but I'm worried. I havnt backef my shit up for a few months!!!!'nn
(EDIT)!!!!!!
Somehow managed to fix it. I took all the ram out and put it back in one at a time, and now everything is hunky dory. I'm very scared about upgrading my RAM on my own now though. I'm going to spend today backing my stuff up just to be safe

Me too. I was really sweating it for bit.
2016-11-08 08:53:25 +0000 UTCYou should regularly back up your projects. I do frequently.

2016-11-07 19:43:20 +0000 UTCSounds like you just didn't mount the RAM back in completely. It happens sometimes. Glad it all worked out for you though!

2016-11-07 18:17:20 +0000 UTCI would say upgrading is scary but once you have done it once it is easy i build my own PC and rebuild my old PC rig so yea it is scary but it is worth it. if your going to upgrade your ram check your motherboard's spec some models only allow 32 GB of ram as a max limit along with only certain model types of ram its confusing as hell but it is worth it at the end.

2016-11-07 17:52:37 +0000 UTCWhile some people say upgrading is easy, I'm not brave enough to upgrade my own machine. I'd spend the extra money for someone else to upgrade it. I'm such a wimp. XD
2016-11-07 15:22:42 +0000 UTCIt sounds like the Ram got jostled out.

2016-11-07 13:33:28 +0000 UTCThere are two types of computer users; those who back up their stuff and those who will.

2016-11-07 08:46:03 +0000 UTCI've leaned my lesson. I think a weekly backup is exactly what I should have been doing this whole time.
2016-11-07 08:42:10 +0000 UTCThat was it! I'm so relieved, you have no idea.
2016-11-07 08:41:46 +0000 UTCI guess it was. I managed to fix it, but holy shit. I was literally just waking up my roommate to ask him to drive me to the nearest computer place tomorrow morning. He is relieved I fixed it.
2016-11-07 08:41:27 +0000 UTCIt may be only the RAM, no worry as the information must be still there, you are not dead as we understand when shit happens, could be the PSU or another thing that is not affect what you have.

2016-11-07 08:34:57 +0000 UTCIf you actually removed the sticks, double check the RAM is secured properly. If there are other slots you can use try moving them between them. If you can, get some compressed air and blow out the slots (from a reasonable distance) as well, entirely possible to accidentally force something small in there. Your files should be safe, starting and shutting down like that is more than likely hardware issues that aren't related to the hard drives.

2016-11-07 08:32:56 +0000 UTCI'm a 3D artist this shit happen to me before I back up to a external hard drive very week now
2016-11-07 08:27:27 +0000 UTCChances are the Hard Drives are fine. Just disconnected at worst.
