Ethan Page update

Page had been a regular on ROH TV before disappearing from the show in recent months. However, he'd increased his independent bookings and started promoting Alpha-1 Wrestling again. On May 2, he was removed from the AEW roster page.
Sources Fightful Select have spoken with said that Page was looking to leave AEW as far back as February. He was slated for an ROH TV Title feud before visa issues with Kyle Fletcher briefly delayed them.
Word within AEW and other companies was that Page is no longer with AEW, or that his departure is a formality.
We've reached out to Ethan Page for comment but haven't heard back.

I hope the best for him. It's hard to crack the rotation now in AEW, hopefully he finds success elsewhere that allows him to prosper. He has the ability, just needs the platform. TNA/NXT could be those destinations.

2024-05-03 12:11:50 +0000 UTCI know he was/is a good talent, but AEW HAS TO trim it's roster down. It's to big right now,and unfortunately people are going to have to go. It's smart especially while they try to rebuild what they're doing. They have to focus on their bigger stars being on the show more than not. The booking just to book is cool every now n then but all the time isn't cutting it nor is the constant rotation of seeing people, then not seeing them for months ala Britt Baker, Ricky Starks, Miro to name a few who should all be regulars. They're all proven. But regardless things have to change for the better or it could be really dark times a head and definitely don't want that. I love AEW. Hopefully Tony gets out of his own way, focusrs on the company, and takes the shit to the next level again. Recently? So far so damn good.

2024-05-03 03:30:49 +0000 UTCThis is a bummer, Ethan is really good and can work effectively as a face or heel. Felt like he never got a chance in AEW to really shine. He had some screen time for a bit but was always built around him putting someone over - which he did really well. AEW has had their fair share of guys they've dropped the ball on but with Ethan it feels even more unfair given unlike others, Ethan was committed and wanted to be in AEW. Despite his not great booking, you never heard any negativity or complaints, that's someone that should be rewarded. There's 5-10 people currently getting regular tv time in AEW that I would much rather see have gone to Ethan Page.
