Long time readers will remember that I've been experimenting with coloring a lot. My usual way of going about it it to do a complete line-art, fill in with flats, and then just add layer after layer of colors until I get something I like. Sometimes it turns out really well since every level is intentional, but the larger the composition the more control I lose over the final piece. This method is supposed to be better for larger compositions and more control. I sketch something out in black and white, fully valued, and then apply colors with the preexisting values. Until now I've had a bitch of a time getting it to work, but with this Futa-Succubus I think I really got it. I'm not a 100% happy with it (I think the final image came out too purplish), but I know what I would do differently.
Also, this image is for the winner of the MTG contest I had going last month. Leila. She's a planeswalker. I like the simple and balanced description of the card they gave me. It was flavorful without being overpowered or outside current rules (as I understand them).
