Adam Cole Update

Due to the nature of pro wrestling, many questioned if Adam Cole's injury was legitimate. DPW announcing his match against Chris Danger following the injury (they'd later say the match is off due to injury), and the masked men showing up at the end of Dynamite led some to suspect he wasn't injured.
The word within AEW is that he is legitimately scheduled for surgery and will be out for quite some time. When seen, he was wrapped and had crutches, and required help traveling. So if for some reason he wasn't hurt, everyone else isn't in on it.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
The hope within the AEW roster was that he simply sustained an ankle sprain, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Cole went to the hospital after the September 20 AEW Dynamite, and was seen on crutches shortly after. We've not been told if they plan on keeping Cole involved via vignettes or if he'll be factored into upcoming shows, but were told to "not expect him" in a live capacity on upcoming Dynamites and Collisions.
