Hello! I've exported the photoshop gradients I used in the latest YouTube video! In the attachments below you can download the ".grd" file that contains all of my photoshop gradients (when you're choosing a gradient in Photoshop, you can right click inside the current gradient presets and select import [or use the little cog icon]). I'm also including the painting from the video before it has any gradient maps applied, so you can follow along EXACTLY if you want. Hope ...

Hello again! This is a slight update my publicly available brushpack for Corel Painter. It mostly just has a couple new brushes (including the "one-sided" brush, which is pretty fun for building forms). Also has some minor updates to older brush settings.
Just download from the attachment and import it in corel painter (the option is inside the brush selection area).

I made a quick video showing some of the process stuff for the latralus pikachu, it gets a little off the rails in the second half because I didn't record all of the finishing steps. Enjoy the trip.

Knytt stories is a freeware game that was made by Nifflas in 2007. Shortly after, I made a quick little level test inside it, making a bunch of various little art as well. Over a decade later, I was contacted by a Knytt enthusiast known as Egomassive who found my level and asked if he could properly finish it. After a flood of nostalgia, I filled in a couple small gaps in the art and Egomassive put together a really fun little experience.
The attached file i...

As an ongoing thank you to everyone, I'll try to keep uploading any brushsets that I use for either Corel Painter or Procreate. (i'm still using the same old procreate ones from last year, so I'll update those eventually).
In the meantime, if you have Corel Painter (any version past 2015 I believe), you can try out my brushset, which has some custom stuff, but also just compiles everything I use.
(let me know if the attachment works, haven't fully teste...

The attached link contains my current brushset for Procreate as of July 2019. Please google how to install them if you're unsure... I'm sure that will be more clear than I could be.
IF YOU'RE ON YOUR IPAD: Just open this page in Safari, click the "sinixdesign.brushset" link below. That will open a downloaded item page, click the blue text that says "More...". Then select "Copy to Procreate". That's all, they'll be automatically installed an...

Trying to provide more useful content to you all. The attached psd contains the full res of the lineart, base colors, and finished painting from the most recent anatomy quick tips on backs. You can use the lineart to try and follow along with the painting stuff in the video or explore your own skin tone and lighting ideas.

Hello everyone! I'll be working hard this year to create a lot of new content, and while I'm doing that I'll try my best to always upload hi-res downloadable versions of any art to here. If I forget or there's a specific image that you wanted me to upload here in high res, feel free to ask on the Patreon Discord.
I'm also sorry for the lack of paintover pals, the last months were a mess, but I still have the entries from 2 months back, and I'll hopefully be doing that belate...

Sorry for the lack of content the past 2 months. I've fallen into that annoying analysis paralysis trap where I wind up thinking about what I want to do, instead of just doing stuff.
The video backlog is still looking the same.. planning to do an intermediate painting tips video, an anatomy quick tips on backs, and a design theory video.
!! Important Note !!
I'll be emailing out for Paintover Pals submissions today... be sure to check your emails if you're part of ...

Hello everyone! I just wanted to offer an update on things. July turned into a mess because of some real life setbacks, but things have stabilized. Unfortunately, that put me super behind on videos. Here is the current lineup. I'm working on the Paintover Pals for the entries I received around a month ago. After that, I have a bunch of videos I'm hoping to work on. Another Anatomy Quick Tips and Design Theory will hopefully both be out this month, ...

I'll start posting more images like this, they might be helpful. The standard approach for most illustrations is just lines -> base colors (on multiply layer) -> flatten and paint it out.
The base colors are most important, don't be afraid to go wild with them, lots of hue variations and experimentation.
