The latest on The Rock and WWE

When we reached out to WWE higher ups, we got the generic line of "the door is always open," before being told that there were considerations and meetings regarding the match as Rock had claimed. There were other plans considered in the Summer and Fall of 2022, and even internal documents that had listed Reigns opponent as "TBA" for a while.
From several members of the WWE roster, it was an "I'll believe it when I see it," type of reaction
The Rock is nearby tonight's WWE Smackdown in Denver, as he filmed McAfee's show from today. A cast member from McAfee's show outright claimed to Fightful sources that The Rock and Pat McAfee would at least be at tonight's Smackdown. Fightful has yet to confirm this otherwise.
