Maxxine Dupri on Chad Gable, using Manami Toyota's moves

Fightful Select caught up with Alpha Academy's Maxxine Dupri in Detroit, Michigan, for SummerSlam Media Day. We began the interview by telling Maxxine how her finisher, the Straight Jacket Electric Chair Suplex, surprised many people. Maxxine said she needed to give credit where credit was due and that Coach Gable told her that’s what I think you should do.

She said Gable got her ready for it, and now she is excited that it is successful and is grateful everyone took to it. When asked what it is like working with Chad Gable and Otis of Alpha Academy, Maxxine said they are the two most underrated WWE SuperStars and added that they are both talented and brilliant. She could not tell us how much she was learning from them.

Maxxine would tell us that if it were not for them, her success would not be where it is now. She added that she is very grateful to be working with them.

When it came down to facing Valhalla for her debut match, Maxxine said she was nervous, but thankfully, she said they kept busy. She noted that she went to the Houston Texans facility, filming different things all day. Maxxine said it was one of those things in which her nerves could not get the best of her because she had no time to think about it.

She told us that her favorite music artist is Taylor Swift, and her favorite rapper is YG. When asked if she liked Doja Cat, she said she did but did not have a favorite song. Dupri would note that she likes Doja Cat’s sense of style.
