DDP talks Cody Rhodes, AEW, WWE, More

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp brought up the induction speech Cody Rhodes gave his father at the 2007 WWE Hall of Fame. DDP said it was money, and that was because it was easy for him to talk about his dad. He said he knew Cody was money right then.
When asked about Cody leaving the WWE, DDP said that was something you had to do in the business, and you cannot be afraid to walk away when it’s not serving you.
DDP said he never got past that mid-card level and would fall farther, and he knew that. DDP said it went to show that the WWE was wrong, and they paid a lot of money to get him back. He got paid.
When DDP was asked about AEW, he said only AEW was with Cody. Because without him sending the tweet to Meltzer about how he believed he and The Young Bucks could sell out a 10,000-seat arena. DDP said Cody taking that bet meant he had to back it up, and they did.
