Cody Rhodes Documentary Notes
Added 2023-07-31 15:59:01 +0000 UTCCody Rhodes’ Peacock documentary is out, and we’ve got some more details on it.
There were additional interviews that ended up being completely unaired in the documentary, and will be footage that the company is just sitting on.
At one point, Cody Rhodes noted that he got under 200 pounds before the Royal Rumble because he was working out so vigorously. He joked that he wasn’t happy with the graphic that was used for the documentary cover because it was actually while he was injured, and in full “don’t care what I eat” mode.
When Fightful had inquired whether or not Cody’s deal was frozen while injured, we weren’t given a specific answer, but were told that he “never really stopped working for WWE during that period.”
Cody Rhodes had also told a story during the documentary about a writer – who is still in WWE – ignoring him and pretending to type on a laptop, and about how he wanted to punch the writer. When he told Triple H that he wanted to, Triple H said he probably should.
The WWWF Title in the documentary was the actual title that Dan Lambert gave him, and wasn’t a replica. They used a sandblower to get sand off of the title.
Rhodes is hoping there will be a second documentary, and noted that some of the people filming it were questioning whether or not it was actually wrapped after WrestleMania. He said if WWE doesn’t make one, he’ll just make his own.
