Familiar Face Back In The Fold At AEW Dynamite

Fightful Select learned that Colt Cabana was back at work for All Elite Wrestling during the July 5 episode of AEW Dynamite in Edmonton. Cabana was last seen on screen for AEW back in November when he was a surprise ROH World Title Challenger to Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite. Since then, he’s also appeared on ROH programming, unsuccessfully challenging Samoa Joe to an ROH World TV Title shot in April.
We’re told that Cabana returned as a producer/coach, though we don’t know what match it was that he was helping out with. Cabana has been largely absent since AEW All Out, when he was mentioned by CM Punk at the post-show press conference, with comments stemming from their long-time friendship and subsequent falling out. Punk is working on the Collision brand.
We haven’t heard if Cabana was back temporarily, but by the sounds of it, he’ll be around more often.

Yeah, and the Elite weren't at Dynamite at the time and they were still kept separated from each other during Forbidden Door, remember?

Obviously no one will be criminally charged at this point and if they were suing him, or he them, civilly thats public record so we would know that by now. And it can't be a gag order cuz Punk has commented. So not sure what the lawyers would be doing.

CM Punk disappears after All Out and wouldn't you know it, heres Colt back on TV! Not only that, he's in ROH. CM Punk returns , is given his own show that will occasionally share tapings with ROH, and boom, Colt Cabana will be working on Dynamite. Probably just a weird coincidence.

2023-07-06 17:59:56 +0000 UTCIt is ridiculous but from whats out there Punk has reached out to them and they haven't responded. So, at this point, its Punk's fault (imo) for most of the night of the brawl out incident but there is mutual blame for them not being able to be on the same show.
