The Wrestling Perspective Podcast with Lars Frederiksen and Dennis Farrell interviewed Jeff Jarrett this week. The interview will be available on Youtube on Sunday, February 12th, at 12:00pm Eastern. The podcast will also be available on your favorite podcast platforms at 12:00pm Eastern also.

- Lars Frederiksen mentioned to Jeff that he was a tape trader. He brought up that he was familiar with the territory days. Jeff said “Tape Traders” have a special DNA, and he mentioned growing up he was into wrestling magazines. He talked about following the business at the young age. He mentioned Jim Cornette was a tape trading.


- Jeff was asked about the criticism from the fans he has faced since being back in the spotlight with his podcast “My World” and being on AEW. Jarrett says he is blessed, some might find it a curse. He said his business partner and co-host Conrad Thompson said it’s mainly because people don’t know his story. He takes “things with a grain of salt”


- Jeff talked about how social media plays a big role. He brought up that wrestling storytelling is important, with how people get information so quickly. He brought up his match against The Acclaimed vs. Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett match, that blurred lines always help sell the story. Jarrett mentioned that when there are blurred lines in the storyline, you have to take things daily.


- Jarrett talked about developing talent, which are some of the biggest names in wrestling today. He talked about launching TNA in 2002 and being an alternative, and helping develop talent like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Beer Money Inc. He put out how much talent is out there.


- Jeff put over the AEW talent and says they have the best tag-team’s in wrestling and there are still many great unsigned talent out there. Jeff Jarrett talked about the early days of TNA and how he wanted to develop his own wrestler’s. He wanted diverse styles, and he liked bringing in the veterans.


- On if Jeff felt like he’s surprised about the career resurgence in the ring. He brought up his relationship with Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal. He wrestled in GCW, was at SummerSlam, in the ring with Sting, and wrestled against Ric Flair in Flair’s last match.


- Jarrett, talked about how the wrestling world has changed from the Kayfabe standpoint. Jeff said it was a revelation to see how the business works. He says the more people think they know the wrestling business, and they truly don’t know. The Last Outlaw character is definitely an extension of his personality.
