Why You Save All of Your Patterns (Fish Professor Ed.)

The top/shirt design is actually based entirely off of Jhoira's tunic since I already had built those little epaulette-things into the sleeve (the robe style closure in the front is just some creative layering top-stitched down to the front panel to make it look like it wraps around). The turtle-neck is a separate piece entirely, so I can get the shirt on and off over my head, and pattern came from Jace, Unraveler of Secrets. I just simplified it even more.
Save your patterns folks! Whether it's something you've drafted yourself or something that you've bought, I cannot stress that tip enough.
Other handy tips:
1) Yaya Han has pleather gold edging you can buy at Joann's (fabric/craft store in the states) its pricey but save up your coupons and buy a LOAD of it at once. I absolutely love this stuff. You'll need an upholstery needle to go through it since its quite thick but most sewing machine models have options available.
2) The Tulip brand gold fabric paint is absolutely god tier (silver too, but obviously I was using gold for this project). Don't bother using anything else. I have tried and failed with everything else.
