Making this ridiculous fish hat was honestly my favorite part of this build. I was PRETTY confident the plan I concocted initially would turn out and I'm sure glad that it did on considering the schedule I was on. It's all EVA foam of various thicknesses (2mm to 5mm) cut on various biases to produce all those angles. Then it gets hit with a bunch of layers of plastidip for priming and a few different colors of spray paint to lay down the basic colors. Painting was finished by hand with acrylics and brushes and a lot of sponges and cloth wipes to get into all those recesses. Painting by hand sometimes sucks but in this case it allowed me to color match the make up I had for my face.
I have a wig cap on and my hair is braided back and tucked down into the high collar, then the little front tabs get gummed to the side of my head. It stayed on great even with a bit of wind that day!
