Since I was talking about it anyway, here's a little mini tutorial on how I clean my brushes (when I remember to do it - which I'm not as good at).
Pic 1: Non-porous chunk of plastic that I put random squiggly lines on with hot glue, this makes the surface textured so the bristles of the brush move around when you pass it gently across. Way better than having to push down harder on the brush and damage it. There's also a little bowl of warm water + a little foaming make up remover soap that I know my skin likes (since these brushes are going on my skin again later). Some brands sell soap for brush cleaning specifically, ELF has a good one that's cheap and easy to find. Get the brush wet and soapy and run it over the ridges until no residual make-up color comes out on a rinse.
Pic 2: After washing and rinsing, lay them out flat in a single layer on a towel/washcloth somewhere they can safely dry. This is usually an overnight process and you want to wait until they are BONE dry to repack them away. If you have a bag or a roll where you store your brushes, its a good idea to wipe that clean as well. Clean brushes that go back into a dirty bag are just dirty brushes again!
Quick little reminder since I couldn't do my Eve make up with dirty brushes, figured we could all learn from my mistake!
