Happy Pride - Let's Pass it On!

Howdy folks! It's day one of Pride Month and as is my wont as a mouthy queer lady with a platform and a lovely audience (thank you all for showing up btw) I'd like to remind everyone that us cis-white-queers owe a whole helluva lot to black and brown trans women who paved the way with thrown bricks and loud, proud voices.

Related to which, there are protests going on around the country and the globe right now due to the continued violent action of police against black individuals and communities, as well as the multilayered, systemic racial injustice that helps to propagates and continue these actions. During the first wave of information spread and retweets, I've been sending in donations to various community funds, charities and organizations involved and I'd like to continue doing so but as an individual with cash flow from a community I care about (that's all of you) it feels disingenuous not to be abundantly clear to you all.

If are uncomfortable supporting a creator who is making donations of this type, and will continue to do so, I'll remind you that you're welcome to lower your donation value or cancel your Patreon sub at anytime.

For those of you who continue to support me I'd like your input as things continue: I plan to donate additional funds. Please let me know of any organizations related to protest causes, racial equality or LGBTQ+ issues that you would like to see such funds go towards. I would also prefer to expand my knowledge of local and community groups as certain organizations (like the Minnesota Freedom Fund that was mentioned frequently and widely retweeted) are likely receiving large amounts of support already. We can vote on large donations or we can spread out the support depending on how many organizations are put forward. Either way I'll be posting receipts.

I appreciate the community that I have here and fully realize how lucky I am, I'd like to spread some of that good fortune around. I'm so grateful to have the best damn dinosaur pack out there on the internet.
