There needs to be a reckoning with Aurora. She stole that adamantium that he would've happily donated to the settlement. The fact that he isn't hostile with her for that is wild.

2024-11-10 01:28:45 +0000 UTCI think Mark made an important first step in Unioning with people's Skills. Once he figures that out he's gonna be capable of some really neat stuff. I wonder if he could just straight up use an existence/non-existence union as a next step up from union of thought. Maybe something like a world gestalt to connect to stuff outside his normal range. I'm also glad that Mark finally decided to take some action. Mark is an incredibly nice person, but he needs to start respecting himself and the value he has as a person and a power more, so that others will respect those things as well. As long as he doesn't push back the powers that be are just going to give him the minimum compensation they can get away with while they push him around and consider it no more than their due. Something I wonder about are the rules for stealing each other's stuff as spoils of battle in the HVP. For example in Mark's case having that much Adamantium stolen from him in what should essentially have been a spar could have been life-ruining if he wasn't adamantium-blooded. Adamantium is incredibly rare, so they stole irreplacabI weapons and a massive fortune in one go. I can't imagine many villains would sign up if they're at risk of having their entire life's savings stolen every time they fight. It's also wild that the settlement essentially just confiscated hundreds of millions of goldleaf without any compensation after explicitly forbidding the use of the HVP to steal Mark's adamantium. Anyway, thanks for the chapter!
