If I am interpreting the snatches of conversation we've seen Rozeta have with Mel correctly, that hole is present in every person. Everyone alive generates at least some mana and the script siphons it all off into itself to power everything. From what I gather, the reason that no one is able to sense any mana coming from Erick even though he is a Wizard is because he is the only Wizard that was not broken from the Script; all the others throughout Veird were probably broken from the script by the Shades and Mel, while Erick came to his power by himself and has refused to be broken from the Script. Now that he can see the connection, I think he could break himself from it if he tried. He probably will at some point, but the question is what will have to happen to push him to do that?

Wow, such an amazing chapter. But most of all, such a sad chapter. I started crying when Koyabez said 7800 people died from the attacks at the temples, and I thought that was a heavy. Colour me surprised. That last part, with Erick letting lose, is probably the saddest one. An incredible chapter Arcs, thank you. (I can easily get emotional while reading :P) P.D.: I'm really worried about Jane. I sure hope she didn't agree to something with Melmel after she heard about her father.
