Nobody at work was notified about what happened, or even that Fang wouldn't be into work the next day. It's essentially a missing person situation and nobody here cared enough to even bother reporting it. Just fired and replaced.

As someone who works in retail at a mom/pop shop, I'm fortunate enough to know my position actually means something here. But for those who have this sort of thing happen, it is rough indeed. Screw corporate.
