Saturday with Shameless Cat

I don't let him sleep on my chair without a blanket over it, because not only does he shed he tries to knead it (destroying the cushions) or claw it (destroying the rest of it). I don't know what goes through his small cat head, trying to jump up on it when the blanket's not on it, but he does it and I invariably push him off. Either he's stupid or stubborn or time does not exist for cats and there is only some eternal Now in which the lessons of the past are immaterial. I don't care. I just want my chair intact.

Anyway, when I am sleeping on it, he will sneak up next to me. Sans cat blanket. I suppose he might be trying to be communal, but I know the actual reason is that he wants to be on the chair without the blanket. I guess he can't destroy things while sleeping. But still. MY CHAIR. >.>

I am the alpha cat in this household. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.

When he purrs it makes the cushions shake under me, though. It is a little bit cute.

• Kickstarter closed beautifully, and I've sent out prizes for all but 8 people, even though the money hasn't cleared yet. I keep reminding myself that sending out prizes BEFORE the money drops is kind of derp and I shouldn't do it even if I recognize and trust most all the backers. And also, that I'm not late until the money drops and I sit on it for months. STILL. I like to get things over with so we can rejoice and move on. Soon, then!
• After the prizes are away, I'll be offering the by-products on my Etsy store (the spares of the Morgan name tag and the Kelu bookmark will become an option when buying books). Watch for those if you're interested.
• Kherishdar updated this week. There are occasional days where I post twice, if the discussion on Discord interests me and I want to see it continue. Go catch up if you're minded.
• Faith in the Service drops in nine days! Go grab a copy if you like pre-ordering! If not, you don't have long to wait. As with Farmer's Crown, I hope to have a small number of launch day print editions to sell. If you like collector's editions, keep your eyes open. I'll mention it on Twitter and Discord. (By the time I get around to posting here or on a blog, they're usually gone...!)
