Spots Available in this Month's SF Storybundle!

If you haven't tried a storybundle yet, it's great! You pay what you want for a bundle of four books, and if you pay over $15, you get an additional six (including Spots!) You can also choose how much of you money goes to the authors and how much to the site. You can even choose one of a couple of charities and split it three ways!
The theme for this one, in keeping with Women's History Month, is women writers and strong female characters. I thought Spots was perfect for this because though I didn't realize it, at the time I was mentally deconstructing a trope: that strong women have to be strong like men. An effective space marine has to be an alpha male, right? But why not an alpha mom? Moms are ferocious and tender in a different and interesting way, one that complements how dads (and men) are ferocious and tender.
So here's this mom, in power armor, leading the way a mom does. By protecting her (adopted) kids, while not cursing and not trampling people's feelings and not taking any guff either. Helping people grow up is hard and takes discipline and toughness. It takes compassion too. Can you do that and kill aliens? Absolutely! You can make some alien friends along the way as well...
Anyway. If you missed Spots, here's a great opportunity to pick it up while also supporting a bunch of other awesome authors. Plus, ten books for $15ish! And you get to pick how much money the authors make! Doesn't get sweeter than that. <3

The other books are either book 1 in a series [many by award-winning authors!] or stand-alones. I'll admit, though, I'm mostly excited about the Spots. Squee! --filkferengi
