Kickstarter Go!

I did a soft launch yesterday to see if I could keep from blowing through my goal too quickly and... that didn't work. Lol. Anyway, here's the link! Go pick up a copy if you want one. Remember, I'm going to be redoing the cover on these, so this is your window to pick up one with the author's art on it. :)

Even if you don't plan on buying, check out the video. It's a timelapse of me sketching, I think it's pretty fun. <3

Oh well... On the other hand -- two more books! Thanks for the information. Now all I have to do is wait until Tuesday.

Actually, there are three other books in this series in print already (Alysha's Fall, Second, and Who is Willing), so... it's not actually a minor consideration.

M.C.A. Hogarth

I'm only aware of one other book in the series that is in print and that is Alysha's Fall, and that does have a couple of interior illustrations. Could you add something like an 'illustrator' pledge to the kickstarter and see whether there's enough interest? (How much does a piece of commercial line art cost?)

Ooh, that's a super-cool idea! But I'm not sure I want to start that precedent: it would make the other books in the series look weird, because they wouldn't have interior art? Let me ponder that one. :)

Is there any chance that you would consider adding some "stretch goals" such as "for each x$ beyond y$ you will include a piece of line art in the book" (like the wonderful illustrations by Voter in Robert Heinleins' "Rocket Ship Galileo" published by Charles Scribner's Sons)?

Been there, pledged that. ;) --filkferengi

It was *very* fun to watch you doing the sketching. Funny thing: I didn't realize--even though I've seen the finished bookmark--that these were pelted characters until watching you draw them on this video. Oh yeah! They have those ears!

Hee! Yep.
