Kickstarters! Your Opinion?

So I feel like this summer I should probably run a Kickstarter instead of paying out of pocket for a lot of the things I'm doing, because capital is important. *nods* But I don't know what! That means it is time to ask.

The things I haven't made available are on the backburner because the expense to produce them way outstrips the money I'd make back on them. Things like print editions, because print rarely sells; and audiobooks, because while audiobooks do sell they're very costly to produce. Plus books that would take me a lot of time to put together because they're scattered all over: time is money (friends). So that's mostly what I've put in the poll, but I've thrown in some 'you tell me' options you can explain further in the comments. Please do! Sometimes all it takes is one person to convince me that I should do something crazy. Because no matter how well trained a team Business Manager and Marketer are, they are still subject to Artist's whims. >.>

Please note that all these Kickstarters are intended to produce a product, not to fund the creation of the art the products are based on. So "I want you to finish writing this story" isn't a good use of a Kickstarter. (People who want me to finish writing stories that don't sell well--that's what the Patreon goal we're working toward currently is for! So I can afford to goof off with projects like the Faerie Farmer.)

Anyway, tell me your thoughts!

Audiobooks are my main Want. I love your Universes but have little time these days to sit and read - I listen to books while making crafts for my shows or maintaining my ranch. Perfect for Multitasking. If you do go with Swag I love the plushies and/or stickers ideas. Multiple of the same sticker is a Must because it is wonderful art.

AmethystAlpaca

Always always always.

Rabbit

ok, I would *totally* go for more Kherishdar pendants! And the 4th Kherishdar book. But I know they're one of the less popular/easy to market series.... Honestly, I can most easily see the Morgan's triology covers sitting in a Barnes & Nobles on a face-out end-cap display, which is why I voted for physical copies of them =)

Capriox and Talikan

Anything Kherishdar! Perhaps the Guidebook that was being done a year or two ago? More pendants?

Do a Kickstarter of something you would love to produce in the next 6 months. Reward cost: 1 - 5 dollars to cheer you on or the real cost of product + labor. Even on Kickstarter we can't wait to get our hands on a new novella and support our favorite artists. Show the book cover. Offer an ebook level and/or an ebook and print level. Offer to add acknowledgement as a further reward. Lunch bag stickers...

I would love to collect patches of symbols or logos that represent the different races in the peltedverse. I understand buttons are easy to make with good markup, but as they age, they becoming unusable, They look scruffy and then break. T-shirts become threadbare or outgrown. What can you do with them then? Stickers can be applied once. It's like signing the jewel case of a CD. Patches are versatile and lasting. They can be applied and reapplied when what they are on rips, or tears. As they age, they get a "worn feel" that shows dedication. Personally, I feel an attachment to them (no pun intended) because I have to put some effort into their placement and sewing them on. Just my two-cents on the swag I'd like to see more of. I also voted for the Jaguar's book and printed pelted publications.

Oooh! stickers of a good size to seal envelopes would be GREAT.

I would love a little pack of stickers! Lots of the same pictures in a pack, so I don't feel like I have to NEVER USE THE ART OR LOSE IT FOREVER.

I want to check all the boxes because I want you to do whatever you want to do. I love all your books and stories and art. :)

Random swag. Your ideas are great...and sometimes Business Manager and Marketer are wrong. Perhaps rarely, but sometimes. Posts like this suggest to me that you're wanting to try something, anyway. I second the Zazzle approach(though not necessarily that particular service, unless you choose it). True Print On Demand does take a significant percentage, but it also means you never have to warehouse or ship anything.

I also second the idea of t-shirts. But not as a KS. Maybe a Zazzle thing?

a patch I can put on my jacket

I find I am happy with the present state of all (OK most) the selections above. OK the random junk might be nice. But you would generally us that as rewards in another kickstarter. After LadyRowyn's url, I would like the rest of the essays for the Three Jags.

I'm always up for Peltedverse, and I think the business book would do incredibly well. But you know me. I'll back you no matter what you pick :)
