Podcast Plaudits and Horror Honours

Hi folks,

Wishing you the very best for the coming week from everyone at Rusty Towers!

To start off with some brilliant news, we are really pleased to say that The Magnus Archives has been nominated for Best Fiction in the iHeart Podcast Awards 2025! A huge congratulations to our production team and cast for this achievement, and also to all of our fellow nominees. You can find out more, and see all of the nominated shows on the iHeart website (please note, this website isn’t accessible in all countries).

Next up, The Magnus Protocol fancast will be returning in 2025! Exclusive to Rusty Nobles and Kickstarter backers, the next live stream is Wednesday 22nd January at 6pm GMT. Join Lowri and special guests from the Protocol cast to listen to and discuss episodes of The Magnus Protocol, providing a commentary and answering questions from the chat! As with last year, the stream will be hosted privately on YouTube, so we will be sharing a link to Nobles ahead of the stream. Remember to hit the “notify me” button on the video so you get notified as soon as we go live!

We’ll be sharing the VOD publicly at a later date. Nobles can find links to the previous Fancast streams at the following links:

Finally, this week we are sharing the final of our Rusty Fears 6 winning stories. This week’s short horror story, The Last One to Speak, inspired by the prompt "Game Show", is written by James Thomasos and read by Billie Hindle. As always, it’ll be available in early access on Tuesday at 4pm GMT and on the public feeds from Thursday at 4pm GMT.

With the release of the episode, we’ll also be opening the poll for listeners to vote on their favourite of these six episodes, with the overall winner having the opportunity to write a case that will be featured in The Magnus Protocol.

Remind yourself of each entry before the poll goes live at the links below:

As well as our amazing winning writers, a huge thank you to our voice actors for bringing each story to life and to Nico Vettese, who directed and composed music for each of the episodes.

Have a good week all!
