Up Next and Updates

Hi folks,

It has been another packed week here at Rusty Towers! Even with the upcoming break on both the Neon Inkwell and The Magnus Protocol podcast feeds, we’re hard at work on both series, with recordings shortly beginning for the final act in season 1 of The Magnus Protocol as our editors work on the beginning of act 2, and production well underway for the next Neon Inkwell series: The Pit Below Paradise.

As a quick note, we know that it is the time of year where Daylight Savings can begin in some countries and not others. We release our episodes at 4pm GMT, moving to 4pm BST on Sunday 31st March. If the clocks have changed recently where you are based, just be aware that episodes may be shared at a slightly different time to what you’re expecting.

As a quick reminder, Neon Inkwell will return on 19th April; The Magnus Protocol episode 11 will air on 11th April. These planned breaks in the regular scheduling are something we have implemented into our production plans over the last few years, to ensure our editors have time to work on upcoming episodes, avoiding “crunch” whilst maintaining our high production standards. We shared some information on The Pit Below Paradise here in the newsletter a few weeks ago – you can read it at this link if you missed it. As for the second act of the Magnus Protocol… we can’t say much, but we will be meeting some new and returning characters as our OIAR employees deal with a new threat…

To give you a short update on some of The Magnus Protocol related items that were unlocked during our Kickstarter campaign, we have started to finalise some of the content that we’ll be sharing between seasons 1 and 2. This includes a TTRPG episode that will feature Alex, Jonny and the team from Monte Cook – as well as potentially some other cast members – playing Monte Cook’s game, Stealing Stories from the Devil. Fluff episodes, epilogues, and What If episodes are also currently in the early stages of writing and production. The first of these release between season 1 and season 2 - with a plan to release 1 Fluff, 1 What If, 1 Epilogue, and 1 TTRPG game between each season.

There’s also the spinoff series that was unlocked, written by Sasha Sienna. This has now been written and is being edited ahead of recording, which we hope to start next month. We can announce that the title of this Spinoff is: Sheeple Chase and will feature some familiar voices. We’ll update you with some more information on this very soon.
