An update - what's been happening!

Hello Patrons!

There was no video released in July so, as usual when I don’t release something, I didn’t charge the Patreon. I’ve been taking my time a bit lately with videos trying to create them to a certain quality, and continuity has been a bit of a challenge too lately as I’m sure you’ve noticed.

I have been working hard though - the usual videos I’m endlessly teasing are underway, Hot Wheels will get there eventually! But the next video is about DRIV3R and it is pure passion project. I’m having so much fun putting this together and I hope that shines through in the final video. It’s well over 30 minutes and I get to talk about Michael Mann, John Frankenheimer’s Ronin, and late modernism. All in a video about a broken PS2 game with bad reviews!

"GOOD. BAD. BOTH." was actually a marketing tagline for DRIV3R. How prophetic!

Part of why this one is taking a while is because I’ve switched from the oh-so-slow but I’ve been stockholm syndrome’d into using it Magix Vegas video editor to Apple’s Final Cut Pro and life is so much better. I’m learning, so it’s taking a bit to get going, but the QOL improvements are insane, it’s way more stable, and the render times blow my mind. This’ll be fantastic for my workflow and has me enjoying editing far more - and I'm experimenting more with my editing too. This next video will have a different feel to it.

A bit of a learning curve!

Finally - I'm going to PAX Australia this year. So if anyone wants to say hello feel free! I'll be posting more about this on social media as it approaches.
