This package will not function without the Hobkin Redux, make sure you own it and have it set up in unity already for this to optimally work!
To reiterate, this is a texture for the Hobkin Redux and NOT the original Hobkin.
The Hobkin Redux is made by Hobbert
In the preview videos for this material, I am using the newest version of Poiyomi Pro, which has a setting that allows for smoothed transitions for the audiolink. While this is not required, I'd definitely recommend it!
Without it, the lights are a bit more jittery, which looks fine, but not as good in my opinion.
For the sake of transparency and so you know what you're getting, the last video in gallery is done with the free version of Poiyomi.
Here are the settings I use for the smoothed transitions if you have Poi Pro and would like to copy them.
This is a material set I made for the Hobkin Redux that has a rich audiolink presence.
There is 3 layers of emission being used, one for bass, one for treble, and one for high mid. Each layer reacts to different kinds of audio and they all have different colors.
This was originally a texture I made only for myself, but after I saw someone asking about it, I decided to put it here on Gumroad for free. Although tips are very appreciated!
I made this texture by utilizing the stripe pattern on texture set 3, it required a lot of cleaning up tho for the use of emission, so that took a great deal of effort, but I think it was well worth it! I tried my best to clean it up and I think I got it looking really nice, there may be 1 or 2 small spots I missed though.
I think this texture looks best on texture set 1, and that's what I mainly tested it with, but you could use the other texture sets if you'd really like to and it'd probably work just fine.
I used the newest free version of poiyomi for this material, and I have included it in the downloads. This material set needs Poi 8 due to it having more emission slots, it will not work with Poi 7.
I have also included some of my animations I made for editing each of the emissions via the 3.0 menu, but these will probably require you to do some work yourself to get them working.
If you like this material and texture, feel free to check out my other content on my Gumroad page!
