Important Holiday Updates

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve all been having a great month so far, and are looking forward to the holidays. As always it’s been a busy month for me (Pokemon notwithstanding), and though I usually wait until the end of the month to make announcements, I wanted to touch base with everyone on a couple of things.

Beginning this week, I’m expecting to be extremely busy between now and the end of the year. Of course Thanksgiving is this week, and the weekend afterwards I’ll be traveling to Midwest Fur Fest. Beyond that, my month will be spent trying to do as much comic and commission work as I can, especially in preparation for the holidays and the bills/taxes that will inevitably come afterwards. So I’ll be making some changes in a bid to lighten my workload:

Firstly, I will not be running a pin-up poll this month. I wish I could because I very rarely get the chance to draw anything holiday-themed with my characters, but I feel it’s in my best interest to not place that expectation on myself this busy time of year. Instead, I will be focusing on wrapping up the current comic arc by the end of the year. There are only two parts left and they’ll both be relatively short compared to the past few pages, and I hope you enjoy the resolution in lieu of a festive pin-up. It also means I can start the new year fresh and can focus on other gags and characters once again.

Secondly, I plan to do commissions throughout December, likely once I return from my trip. Instead of doing my normal digital commissions, however, I’ll be doing simpler pencil commissions on paper, at a base price of $20. These commissions will feature one character only and be made on the basis of “what you see is what you get,” so commissioners will not receive WIPs or be able to request changes to the finished drawing. I’m hoping by taking several of these I can make up for convention funds and have more cushioning for the new year - so bear this in mind if you’ve been looking to get some art from me.

Finally, once the new year rolls around I’ll be considering options to heavily retool both my Patreon page and the rewards I’m currently offering. Along with giving the site banner and all my character references a fresher look, I’d like to really make a push for more support for the comic, so I can bring you even more of it next year. As far as my patrons are concerned, this means adding new tiers, switching up rewards (sketch rewards and commission discounts in particular) and removing some that I haven’t been able to keep up with (the Monthly Mailbag). I’d also like to get to a point where I can give more back to patrons who pledge far above my expectations, so once the dust settles from the holidays I’d like to see just what I can do.

I think that covers my bases for now. In the meantime I’ve got a sumo-themed pin-up to start work on, so I’ll keep everyone updated on that this week - and I hope it’s a pleasant holiday week for all of you, too!
