One of the reasons him saying "I love pumpkin juice" set him off , is because it's like a European who stole land from Native Americans saying "I love corn". The corn was grown by the natives and so the people who stole the land saying causally that they love the food they took from the natives.....is kinda rubbing salt in the wound. The pumpkin originated on verth, the Shandian's homeland. So it's the same thing as the corn thing. The other thing is that he stopped him like he had something important to say, but he randomly said he liked pumpkin juice instead π .
