Fun and Games!

We missed our Doug last night but we had fun nonetheless! The evening started a little slow as we were finding our footing, but something really great always seems to happen when things go a little long and stay a little loose.... I kinda forget we are being watched by an audience and the conversation starts flowing, bits start developing... and there's this great pool of zoomers waiting to jump in and move things along or change the direction... I love seeing people in their living rooms or bedrooms, painting, hanging out with their cats, strumming a guitar... it's really special that we can just jump into each others lives for a few minutes. I'm trying not to get used to that.

Our main show was quite fun too! Whats really fun is doing very little prep on Sam but still landing a fun, funny and informative interview... I can tell you from doing late night talk shows, there's an intense over analysis of how a segment should go, where you talk to a producer about your "chunk" / we don't do that - It doesn't hurt that Sam is a really naturally funny and likably gent... Also Greg from Deerhoof came in HOT and I loved it. I believe we'll be offering up Satomi's drawings for a charity auction soon. Keep your eyes PEELED for that.

Now, I have to build a few Ikea beds.... we had bunk beds set up and they worked for a while, but we can no longer handle the daily discussion about who's on the top bunk. NO.
