2022-04-14 08:33:02 +0000 UTCPerth explained that "Hia" and "Je" are coming from Chinese dialect Tae Jiew. And in the I Told Sunset About You series, Teh is calling his brother as "Koh", which I think it is coming from Chinese dialect Hokkien (which is same root as Taiwanese Min Nan dialect), and Teh's mother is also selling Hokkien Mee noodle. But so far I haven't heard this "Koh" from any other Thai series.

In Bad Buddy series, Pat family is Chinese descent family, so Pa is calling Pat as "Hia", Pat is calling his father as "Paa", and calling his mother as "Maa". Whereas I think Pran family is not Chinese descent family, so Pran is calling his father as "Por" and calling his mother as "Mae", which is the usual way in Thailand.
