Some context: MAGFest's started doing this thing called "M-Points" to combat the problem of their tournaments and contests having sucky prizes. See, there's no such thing as a prize that somebody, somewhere wouldn't be disappointed with, so the ideal thing is to just let the winners go pick their own dang prizes. Unfortunately, the obvious way to do that - cash prizes - is all kinds of legally problematic. So instead, now you win M-Points which can be spent in the Marketplace LIKE money, even though they technically aren't money (and then us vendors can trade them in for actual cash at the end of the con).
So, yeah, it was pretty obvious that this dude was just trying to get some cash out of the M-Point coin he'd gotten somehow. And you know what? I'm really in no position to judge anyone for trying to game the system. The only reason I bring most of that Far Out There "merchandise" to cons is so I'll have more original content to balance out all the fanart prints (a lot of cons have rules about that sort of thing, thinking it'll scare off the copyright goblins)
Well, that's all for MAGFest 2016! Hope you guys liked this update, 'cos I can ASSURE you there won't be another one this long for a loooooooong time.
