Added 2018-09-20 13:51:54 +0000 UTCHey folks. We've been a little quiet recently on the updating and bugfixing side of GAW, and I'd like to apologize and explain what's been going on.
A few weeks ago we were having a problem with the GAW server, where it would freeze for a few minutes and then recover. We were scouring for ideas about what it could be, and decided to start optimizing our GAW scripts wherever we could. The problem ultimately ended up being pretty silly (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=220124) but while clawing for ideas on how to resolve it we decided to rip out the framework that GAW was built on and instead write our functionality with MIST and the base mission scripting engine.
This was something we had been considering for quite a while, as MOOSE provides a _lot_ of things that we don't use in GAW, and it's doing a fair amount of extra work behind the scenes to facilitate those aspects that we never use. We had planned on building up phase2 without MOOSE instead of introducing it to phase 1, but those stability problems we encountered moved those plans up a bit.
We put new features and some of the minor bugfixes on hold until this was done, and we're almost there. Both Zelly and I also got fairly busy with real life at the same time which made it take a little longer too.
I appreciate the patience from you guys, and hope that phase 1 has been holding you over pretty well in the meantime. I'm hoping we can have phase 1's updates pushed out before the end of the weekend.

We've considered it before but couldn't find a balance we were happy with. We might try taking another stab at it again if there's consistent periods where we have low cap. Additionally, there's been issues with the hornet's radar, so a lot of the people who would normally be doing CAP probably aren't.

2018-09-20 18:56:36 +0000 UTCIs there something that can be done to spawn in Blue AI CAP? In the last few days every time I try CAS, a ton of Red CAP spawns. So when I get shot down I hop in a Hornet to go CAP and nothing is left. Hop back in CAS and the same thing happens. It was very frustrating to say the least.
