June Update

Hey all!

I am currently in Las Vegas, taking care of personal business I've put off for far too long. Things have been moving along, but I will probably have to extend my time here by another week or so.

I don't anticipate that I'll be home in Oregon until mid June so I won't be posting any snippets this month. I will announce in Discord or on my blog once I have new content for you all to devour so please feel free to take breaks with your subscription!

I can't wait to get back to Oregon so I can write! My mind has been turning over what I want to do in book 4 of the Singed Series on these long drives. I have so many ideas I want to execute, but I have so much to do here and a limited time in which to do it so I have to stay focused. LOL. But once I'm home, I'm going to go crazy!

I hope you all are having a great start to your summer! It's blazing hot here. After running around in the desert sun all day, I sleep like the dead. LOL. Our drive here from the Pacific Northwest was a little hairy with a lot of accidents on the highways, a sketchy motel I will be skipping on my return trip, and some insane drivers.

Las Vegas seems to be bursting at the seams. I've lived here off and on since 2008 and visited pretty regularly, but this is the busiest I've ever seen it. A lot of services have been delayed because of the much larger population. Everywhere is so busy--I'm relieved to scuttle back to my Airbnb at the end of the day.

Despite me trying to slow my pace for my dogs sake, they've been pretty traumatized over this whole trip. My senior dog has been especially disoriented so it is probably best that I extend my stay here to give him time to recover before going back. It's been... a lot. I still have a ton of stuff to do but I'm sure I can wrap it up by extending another week. By the time I make it back to Oregon, it'll be about 4 weeks that I've been on the road. But, I'm going to be so happy on my way back since I can finally settle in Oregon and officially severed all ties to Nevada.
