Hospital Scene from Roth's POV

The elevator opened onto the second floor and he strode along the hallway and then turned the corner. He took two steps into the corridor before he spotted a woman on the other end leaning against the wall. He was too far away to make out her features, but it didn’t matter. His body would recognize her anywhere. Even as his mind tried to comprehend what he was seeing, she turned her head. He felt the impact of her gaze. His aggravation turned into adrenaline. No doubt about it. It was her. Jasmine. An electric current traveled through his body as she straightened and headed in the opposite direction at a fast clip. She knew it was him. One glance, that was all it took for either of them.

He moved swiftly and broke into a run once she disappeared from sight. He passed the ICU. His mother could wait. Jasmine would do what she did best. Disappear. He wouldn’t allow that, not this time.

I shared this on Discord a bit ago and thought I should share it here too. I wrote bits and pieces of Roth's POV when I wrote Bitter Heat because I had such a hard time reading him. A lot of his inner monologue would need to be redone since the story hadn't fully developed when I wrote his POV.

Every now and then when I'm writing the current books, I'll hear his side of things so I'll jump to his book and flesh out his POV. His book, if it's as thorough as I would like it to be, would prob be pretty massive on its own. I love writing male POV, but it's too revealing, which is why Roth will get a book at the end of the series.
