"Let me in, princess."

Continuing flashback, glimpses of their first time.

“I’m sorry,” she began as he stepped back and grabbed hold of his sports jacket so he wouldn’t leave. She lost her head for a second, wanting to experience what all of her peers had, what all of her romance novels went into great detail about. She’d always been too curious for her own good. Too eager, which had obviously turned him off. “Please, don’t—”

She was going to beg him not to take offense and leave and plead temporary insanity, but all that came out was a squeal when he picked her up. No man had ever picked her up in her life. Every feminine cell in her body was cheering and shrieking like a giddy cheerleader as he stalked into her bedroom. Her delight stuttered when he tossed her on the bed like a piece of luggage. She bounced and sat up, hand out to tell him not to leave, but the words died when she saw him rip off his sports coat and toss it to the ground. Her blood thickened to molasses as he grabbed the back of his black shirt and tugged it over his head, revealing the first naked male body she’d ever seen in the flesh. And it was hard and muscled and covered in dark skin that made her fingers tingle with the need to touch. She wasn’t aware that her tongue slid along her lower lip, but his guttural, "Fuck” brought her dazed eyes up to his glittering one. 

He crawled toward her until they were face to face. He took her mouth again. Instantly, she sank back onto the mattress. He followed her down and hissed as if her touch pained him as she explored. 

She took her hands away. “Does that hurt?” 

“I’ll stop hurting once I’m inside you,” he said bluntly as he levered himself up to slide his hand under her skirt. Her thighs clamped together in an instinctive urge to protect what no one else had ever touched.

“Let me in, princess,” he said against her mouth.
