She braced her hand on his chest. “I do have a choice. You think you can keep me locked up in this penthouse and no one will notice? I don’t think even Mo and Johan would let you get away with that.”
He looked down at the hand on his chest and smoothed his hand over her arm, brushing up her sleeve up to her elbow.
“Once, you gave up everything to be with me. Now, you’re willing to sacrifice everything to get away.” He encircled her wrist and brushed his thumb over her sensitive inner wrist. “Do you see nothing of the man I used to be? Nothing worth taking a chance on?”
